Review on Adidas Heavy Punch Bag - Written by Jordan M
The Heavy Bag which i have reviewed is priced at £80, bought from a website named www.gymworld.co.uk which specilizes in punch bags, brackets, gym equipment. It is a good quality bag, filled with cloth which allows good training for you arent breaking your hand on a sand filled bag yet your not hitting a bag of feathers, therefore i highly recommend the product.
Now, a little tip which doesnt affect the quality of the bag. Duck tape, using duck tape you can select parts of the bag you wish to aim for, i have chosen my eye line which gives me an advanatge of not getting in habbits of hitting to low all the time. By doing this i can train, get my striking practice and varie the shots. For example, two jabs to the head, under hook to the stomach.
Moving on with the bag review, now instead of what to do this is what not to do. Simply because of my expirience i am not recommending to get the wall bracket shown in the video review and the list of images i have taken above the written review.
Due to the length of the bar on the bracket the weight of the 23kg bag is multiplied by around five times, therefore the strain on the wall is around 115kg. Yet i am no mathmetician so it was only an average guess, yet the fact i made of the weight been multiplied because of the length of the bracket is correct.
If you were to buy the bracket then it is priced at £30 from the same site as the heavy bag, www.gymworld.co.uk.
Yet if going threw with it and buying teh bracket i would recommend buying better quality bolts like i did. I bought my bolts from B&Q for £2 each. These bolts seemed to need tightening every 3 days.
To solve the problem of this i bought a hook from ebay (www.ebay.co.uk/com) which i then attached to teh ceiling of my garage which went into a roof beam. After this problem was cleared i then came across another. The chain seemed to be a bit long for my average sized garage height. The bag wasnt to my eye height and was almost dragging on the floor. As shown on the video review i removed the hook links from the given hook holders attached to the bag itself and then pulled the chain threw the hook holdders and up to the hoop which has the job of holding the chains together. Doing this gives no disadvantage to your use or rotation of the bag, the only difference found by doing this is a more suitable height of the bag.
Scoring
Cost 8/10
Design 8/10
Features 7/10
Quality 8/10
Ease of use 7/10
